Night Watch. A simple tale... or is it? Peformed by Bourne Players at Bourne Corn Exchange on 12th, 13th and 14th October. A beautifully designed set welcomed us to a household of wealth and good taste, but below the surface, unseen and unheard, an energetic shoal of red herrings is in constant motion, affecting and infecting everyone in the household. Except perhaps the lady of the house, an heiress highly strung and prone to hysterics. Certainly all the other characters, well differentiated and believable, appear at some point to be slightly fishy. And so we enjoyed a very unusual and gripping whodunit. Congratulations and thanks to Bourne Players who more than deserved their three full houses. We look forward to their next production Comment by J. Lister. 20/10/11

Town is lucky to have them (letter to Bourne Local 23/10/09 by Genevieve Bouverie)                                              I am a visitor to the area and have been staying locally with friends. I travel as much as possible and enjoy watching amateur theatre whenever I can. Last frieday my friends took me along to see the Bourne Players Evening of One-Act Plays at the Corn Exchange. I was very impressed at the standard and ability of the actors, and felt compelled to write a note to the local newspaper in praise of this very confident and accomplised company. The Three plays, a thriller and two comedies were very entertaining and well directed. Clearly some of the actors have a lot of experience with excellent timing, diction and stage presence. Menacing in places, hilarious in others, everyone involved gave 100% and the audience was rewarded with a splendid evenings entertainment. Seldom have I seen a more "professional" amateur performance. Very well done to all concerned. Long may Bourne Players continue to entertain the lucky people of Bourne and the surrounding area.

Thoroughly enjoyed the production of I Spy Murder on Saturday evening. Looking fordward to next year's production already! The website is very good - well laid out and informative. Keep up the good work. Comment by: Ruth Sullivan February 2007

Just a quick note to say I thought that last night's production was outstanding. It was played with such professionalism and class, and made for a great night out. Thought I had it cracked, though, when I found the anagram of 'murder' in the murderer's name - but clearly not!! Comment by: Jonathan Fisher February 2007

Great that you've got a website! How times have changed since I joined in 1969 - my first play for Bourne was "When we are Married". Not many people remain in the Group that I knew. My name is those days was 'Vokes' and I married Simon Welch in 1988 when we were living in Nottingham. I was very saddened to learn of Gus's death. He and I acted in many plays and when my marriage broke up, he was a great friend to me and my sons. I have so many happy memories of B.P. Keep up the good work. Comment by: Joan Welch February 2007
