A landlady, a young prostitute and a Colour Sergeant have been summoned to attend a party on Christmas Eve 1871. But by whom and why?     LAST RESPECTS  - A COMEDY BY COLIN CALVERT.

    It was the dying wish of Mr Throgmorton, that on his departure his 3 favourite girls meet at the funeral parlour, run by an old school chum, Mr Deadlock. The three women discover that they all had a personal relationship with Mr T and an undignified cat fight breaks out. BUT Mr T is not dead - it is an elaborate ruse, he is off to America to start a new life...

  • MR REGINALD DEADLOCK - owner of funeral parlour, only in the trade due to his deadpan expression (Middle aged)
  • MR HENRY THROGMORTON - local boy dun good - completely lacking in scruples & having a mid life crisis. (similar age to Mr Deadlock)
  • MRS ETHEL THROGMORTON - long suffering wife , battleaxe! (similar age to Mr D & Mr T)

    JAYNE WITH A Y - A PLAY - BY IAN HORNBY.

    Directed by Nicola Dickie.

    Jayne, a student fulfilling a coursework obligation, is a visitor at a nursing home. There she meets Emily, an apparently cantankerous and difficult elderly lady. Jayne soon has her preconceptions challenged by a women whom she quickly discovers is far from the grumpy, senile old person the nursing staff had her believe. An unlikely friendship develops between the two women and they form a bond that looks likely to continue into a hopeful and positive future. A cleverly written play about an unusual meeting of minds and the fact that, just maybe, life isn't so bad after all.
